This saturation provided ample soil moisture for a strong start, and we saw that continued into the 2017 growing year, where incredibly heavy rainfall in winter and spring meant that a smooth transition from bloom to fruit to harvest was able to happen. Both vintages are distinct but share fine, polished tannins that work in harmony with complex flavor components of cassis bud, blackberry, black cherry, and cocoa.
